Wage & Hour Rights and Responsibilities

Written Demands, Complaints, & Investigations
Demands & Complaints for Wages: If an employer owes you earnings, you can send your employer a written need for payment of salaries by mail, e-mail, text message, or other electronic ways. A written demand may be sent out to the company at the same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for overdue wages is submitted with the Division. The Complaint Form can be discovered on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements website.
Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a complete Labor Standards Complaint Form is gotten and reviewed, a letter discussing the nature of the grievance and the quantities declared to be owed is sent to the company. Investigations Launched by the Division ( » Direct Investigations »): The Division may carry out employer-wide direct examinations of potential offenses of Colorado wage and hour law. If you want to submit a private claim for overdue earnings, you must fill out a Labor Standards Complaint Form on our Demands, Complaints, Responses, and Settlements website. To appeal a direct examination citation or one or more Notices of Assessment, a supposed employer might submit a Direct Investigation Appeal Form.
